Wood watch images
Client - Woodgrain watches
Our first time with wooden watches was more challenging than expected, but with such a helpful client, we made it!
Woodgrain watches have 5 different models (we are still working on the most complex one) and in this project we had to create good looking 3d renders of them and match the wood’s color and texture as close as possible to the real watches.
We created pictures from 4 camera angles and:
– 4 different models
– 3 wood textures
– 4 metals
– 2 watchfaces
Challenging parts of the project:
- Working with only photos as source files. Blueprints were sometimes outdated
- The client requested very specific wood textures and colors. For the Zebrawood, he even sent real-life samples to use those as texture sources
- Managing variations and creating a proper animation sequence to make all the different variations
